Stuff, stuff and more stuff! (part 1)

Teachers need lots of stuff!  Okay, maybe that's not entirely true, but most of the teachers I know (including myself) have lots of educational stuff...And we don't want to get rid of anything!  We hang on to the silliest things, like empty toilet paper rolls thinking that someday, somehow, I'm gonna use that (maybe you'll be as creative as Jennifer).  Anyway, hang on to your empty coffee cans, baby food jars, bottle tops, or whatever strikes your fancy.  Here are some things I like...

When I was teaching (in public school), I used pocket charts all the time.  I had the hangy uppy kind (technical term).  I had the table top kind.  I even hung some on my cork boards.  They can be a great assett to your curriculum.  Here are some I have used and love!

I did not have the weather and calendar pocket chart, but it would have made morning meeting time a lot easier!  I will definitely get one of these when Milly hits pre-school age.  I love the alphabet pocket chart.  I taught special ed, and it was wonderful for my kids.  I would use the tabletop charts when doing word work like word families or sight word practice.  They are wonderful- so many possibilities.  They are a little pricy, so I'm looking into making my own...

Scotch TL901 Thermal Laminator 15.5 in x 6.75 in x 3.75 in 2 roller system So, I finally got my laminator, and I love it! I can use it for scrapbooking, making games, cards, and I'm sure I'll find a million other uses.  I have already got my money's worth out of it.

Cricut 29-0001 Personal Electronic Cutting Machine
I am trying to figure out which body part to sell so I can purchase this Cricut machine...
I have recently entered the addicting scrapbook adventure.  As I try to hone in on my DEEPLY hidden creative abilities, I'm sure this would come in handy.  And yes, husband, I could find an empty shelf to fit it on (I can already hear his comment).  By the way, my birthday is coming up....

These drawers from Wal-mart are just the right size for paper storage.  You get a set of three for about $30.  Of course, they will ship it to your local store for free!  Love these!

Sorting with Style-you gotta check it out!!!

More coming soon!
