Dry Erase Board

I saw this on another blog several weeks ago, but I can't for the life of me remember where....

Anyway, I found a picture with a good frame at a yard sale for like two bucks.  I had to peel the cardboard off the back to get to the picture inside.

I covered the picture inside with some off-white fabric
(it has a slight texture look to it), then I hot glued strips of pretty paper around the edge for a matte look.  The paper came from Hobby Lobby (aka-my favorite store).

The result is a fairly large space for us to write information on when we're doing school.

I wished last year for a board to model problems in grammar and math. One that was not your typical, ugly board.  One that I would be proud to display, and would go with my decor. Yay!  Success!

So, what are you waiting for?  Go find a pretty frame!

So you write on the plastic front, the part that protects the thing inside? Brilliant!

Yes, this one's actually an old glass picture. So, its great for lots of writing and erasing!
