The Schoolroom: Part 2

I told you about our schedule change last week. Our second change was our schoolroom. When its pretty outside, you will find us at the table on our deck most of the time.  Sometimes we curl up in the recliner...my kids are still small enough to fit one on each chair arm. But you may remember our schoolroom with our large white table....well, I asked my husband to cut it in half last Saturday...and this is what we came up with.

We put each long half against the wall in our den. It saves us space, and looks much better. This is Jellyfish's side of the window...I've got to figure out how to hide those wires under the table though. Normally his basket of school books sits there, so that hides them a little.
 And this is my side...
My hubby also built me this rack (out of scrap lumber) for my ribbon. It's not fancy, but very effective in keeping my ribbon where I can see it! It works for me.
If you're wondering, I keep buttons in those little jam jars, and thread, lace, wire, and other things in those blue baskets. The gray thing on the left side of the shelf is a bow maker I got at Wal-mart, but have yet to figure out how to use it! I can see from the pic, I really need to organize and color coordinate my ribbon, and paint those dowel rods. It would make the room look a lot better.

If you're wondering where the desktop computer is...my husband hooked it up to the TV, which is a little weird, but I am getting used to it. The CPU actually sits in the bottom cabinet, with the printer right above it. It looks so much better because it hides all of the cords required with a desktop.
So, it's never too late to make some changes! Especially if it makes your life a little easier.

See ya next time,
Laurie
