Homeschool Highlights: January ends

So....January has been busy with snow, dropping temperatures, family visits, hospital stays and birthdays.

We started the month by celebrating Jellyfish's 9th birthday!
My little 21 inch baby is now almost 5 foot tall!!! He'll soon pass me up...and probably his daddy too! Isn't he adorable?

the pic below should say 2011, not 2002...duh!
My mother in law has been in and out of the hospital. That has not been fun for anyone, especially her. Hopefully she is on her way to a full recovery.
Caleb took his robotics team to competitions and beat some hiney!!! Yeah! So, now his team is going to state! This is one of the robots below. Yeah, I know it looks like a bucket of bolts, but it actually does some pretty amazing things. And, considering it was designed and programmed entirely by high schoolers (under Caleb's direction)...that's just cool!
We got enough snow to have a little fun. Milly wasn't really big enough last year to enjoy the snow. But, this year....she had a blast!

We enjoyed time with family at Jellyfish's birthday parties...yes, he had two.
We did lots of playing...and lots of school. I am looking forward to February, and hopefully some less frigid temps. I'm ready for flip flops and sunburns!!!

Until next time,
