Labor Day units & resources

Labor Day is one of those holidays that kinda sneaks up on you. It doesn't quite have the oomph! of Christmas, or even Memorial Day for that matter. We here in the Jibberjabber house are working right on through Labor Day, so I thought I might put together some fun activities to educate my kids on what the day really is all about. Although, I don't think you can fully appreciate the holiday until you are a full time employee, ready for a day off!

By the way, Labor Day is the "gateway to fall" FaVoRiTe time of year. I can't wait to get out my fall decor and have some pumpkin pie...and get rid of the heat!

this 99 cent unit explores over 30 holidays and includes an elementary and middle school version...

Time for kids: has some excellent historical information

This is a great time to study community helpers with your little ones too...

I'm planning to use some of these links to do a mini unit on Labor Day, so that it is not just another day.

Have you found any good resources for Labor Day?
